This website is run by Harsil Village Resort, Near PNB Bank, Harsil, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand 249135 ("we", "us"). This page explains what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Enquiries you send us. Your name, phone number, email, travel dates, the stay or room you are asking about, and your message.
- Calls, WhatsApp messages and emails. Whatever you share with us through them.
- How the site is used. Pages visited, the device and browser, the approximate location derived from your IP address, and which advert or search brought you here - collected through cookies and similar tools described below.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, check availability, and arrange your stay.
- To keep a record of enquiries and bookings, as any business must.
- To understand which pages and adverts are useful, and to show our adverts to people who have visited this site.
We do not sell your details, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Who else handles it
- Our website host and our customer-management (CRM) system, which store enquiries so our team can reply and follow up.
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) to measure visits and advert results and to show our adverts. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure and show our adverts on those platforms.
Cookies
The site sets cookies that it needs to work (to keep forms secure) and cookies from Google and Meta for measurement and advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and turn off personalised adverts at Google Ad Settings and in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. The site still works without advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to handle your stay and keep business records, and are then deleted. Google keeps analytics data for the period set in our account, at most 14 months.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us what details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, and withdraw your consent. Write to us using the details below and we will act on it within 30 days.
