Welcome to The Harsil (Harsil Village Resort). By accessing our website, making a reservation, or staying at our property, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully — they are designed to protect both our guests and our team.
1. Definitions
- "The Harsil", "we", "us", "our" — refers to Harsil Village Resort and its authorised staff.
- "Guest", "you", "your" — refers to the person making the booking and anyone staying under that booking.
- "Booking" — a confirmed reservation at the resort.
2. Reservations & Confirmation
- A booking is considered confirmed only after we issue a written confirmation (email or WhatsApp) and the applicable advance has been received.
- Guests must provide accurate details — name, contact information, and a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.
- The primary guest must be 18 years or older.
- Room rates, availability, and offers are subject to change without notice and are confirmed at the time of booking.
3. Check-In & Check-Out
- Check-in: from 12:00 PM (noon)
- Check-out: by 11:00 AM
- Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may attract additional charges.
- A valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID) is mandatory for all adult guests at check-in as per Indian law.
4. Payment Terms
- An advance payment may be required to confirm your booking.
- The balance is payable at check-in unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- All rates are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
- We accept UPI, major credit/debit cards, net banking, and cash (subject to legal limits).
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancelled 15+ days before check-in: full refund of advance, less a 10% processing fee.
- Cancelled 7–14 days before check-in: 50% refund of advance.
- Cancelled less than 7 days before check-in: no refund.
- No-show or early departure: full booking amount is charged; no refund for unused nights.
- Peak-season bookings (May–June, October–December) may have stricter terms — these will be shared at the time of booking.
- Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment source.
6. Force Majeure
The Harsil is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond our control — including natural calamities (landslides, floods, earthquakes), extreme weather, road closures, pandemics, strikes, or government restrictions. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule your stay or issue a credit voucher, subject to availability.
7. House Rules
- Smoking is prohibited inside rooms. Designated outdoor areas are available.
- Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Outside food and alcohol are not permitted without prior permission.
- Pets are allowed only with prior approval and may attract additional charges.
- Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. The Harsil is not liable for loss or theft of valuables left unattended.
- Any damage to property caused by guests will be charged at actual cost.
- Illegal activities, harassment of staff or other guests, or conduct that disturbs the peace of the resort may result in immediate eviction without refund.
8. Children & Extra Guests
- Children under 5 years stay complimentary when sharing a room with parents using existing bedding.
- Children aged 5–12 may be charged for an extra bed and meal plan.
- Extra adults are subject to availability and charged per our prevailing tariff.
9. Activities & Experiences
Treks, stargazing, and other curated experiences involve inherent risks associated with mountain environments. Guests participate at their own risk and are advised to follow all safety instructions provided by our team. The Harsil is not liable for injuries, accidents, or losses arising from such activities.
10. Photography & Media
Images taken on our property for personal memories are welcome. Commercial photography, filming, or drone use requires prior written permission from the management.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Harsil's liability for any claim related to your stay shall not exceed the total amount paid for the booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, photographs, logos, and design — is the property of The Harsil or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws. It may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of your booking or stay shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to that booking. The latest version will always be published on this page.
